Implant Retained Dentures

At White Peak Dental, our highly skilled and compassionate dental professionals can place implants in the least invasive way possible with minimally invasive implant surgery.

At White Peak Dental we strongly believe that, in most cases, implants present a good replacement for a tooth that is missing or sadly beyond saving. We also believe that the best way to place these implants is with minimally invasive implant surgery.

For years, implant surgery involved creating a flap in the gums – or in some cases removing the gums from the bone – so that the implant could be securely and correctly placed in the jawbone. Thanks to innovations in the techniques used in implant surgery, however, this is no longer the case.

Using 3D printing and imaging, we can take a digital scan of the tooth using our CBCT Scan, and from this we can make a model of the mouth and create a plan for surgery from this. Scanning the mouth and the 3D images it produces means that we can evaluate and assess each individual patient’s bone structure, and then map the layout and formation of their teeth.

This in turn means we can plan out the surgery far more accurately and effectively. This plan is then used as a guide for the drill during surgery, which will be used to precisely place the implant into the bone of the jaw, all without any incision into the gums. Overall, minimally invasive surgery makes for a much more comfortable experience for the patient receiving the implant. It is also faster and more efficient – it cuts down on the number of visits to the practice and reduces healing time after the surgery.
